Baahar Begum is Recluse in Kalank Says Madhuri Dixit Nene

Madhuri Dixit Nene will be seen playing the role of courtesan in Kalank, Baahar Begum, says her character is very recluse.

Madhuri Dixit Nene, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur hosted a press-junket for Kalank at Ishq 104.8 FM on Friday.

Talking about her role Madhuri Dixit Nene said, "Baahar Begum, she is very recluse kind of person. It is very different than roles I've portrayed so far, she always holds the cards very close to her heart. She never really gives in to anyone because some decisions she took in her life, maybe she regrets them and that is the way she is and I thought it was very intriguing"

After Ghar More Pardesiya and First Class song, the makers of Kalank will soon unveils the third song, Tabah Ho Gaye, featuring Madhuri Dixit Nene, who says that it is a beautiful song.

Sharing details about the third song, Madhuri Dixit said, "I am working with Saroj Khan after 5-6 years, I've worked with her in Gulaab Gang she did one of my songs in the film. Now we've worked in Kalank for Tabah Ho Gaye, I think it is a beautiful song, it got some lovely beats, and there is a lot of heart in the song"

"Because the story is also going on and coming ahead, there are a lot of elements in the song which kind of adds to it!" said Madhuri.

Madhuri Dixit also added that the song is super special as it incorporates almost all kind of Chakkar/Rounds there are in Kathak format.

She said, "I didn't count the rounds but I did a lot of rounds. We were thinking how do we make this dance routine different, we could have done a lot of other things but that would have been very common, so we thought why don't we just take different kind of rounds which are there in Kathak dance format"

understands her and I think she makes women look beautiful"

The film is directed by Abhishek Varman the film is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Production. Starring Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Kunal Khemmu will release on 17th April.
