Bollywood Praises Deepika Padukone's Look in Chhapaak

The first look of Deepika Padukone from Chhapaak is out and Several Bollywood celebs, including Rajkummar Rao, Parineeti Chopra, Vicky Kaushal, and real-life acid attack survivor Rangoli Chandel are nothing but appreciative of the project.

Chhapaak is helmed by Meghna Gulzar, who is collaborating with Deepika Padukone for the first time. Deepika's character is called Malti and the film is based on the inspiring, real-life story of Laxmi Agarwal. It is slated to release on January 10, 2020.

Kangana Ranaut's sister and manager Rangoli Chandel wrote a note of appreciation for Deepika and Meghna saying as an acid attack survivor and will be their biggest cheerleader. She wrote, "No matter how unfair and unjust the world is we musn't reflect what we hate, this is commendable on @deepikapadukone and @meghnagulzar part, being an acid attack survivor I pledge to be their biggest cheerleader #Chhapaak"

Rajkummar Rao also praised the look, he tweeted, "This is brilliant. Can't wait to see you as #Malti. It's path breaking. More power to you Deepika"

Parineeti Chopra shared, "Now THATSSS an important film!!!! Amazeeee @deepikapadukone"

The filming has begun in Delhi and the film Chhapaak is being produced by Fox Star Studios.
