Gully Boy Bags 13 Filmfare Awards: Moviebuffs Spit Fire At Jury, Demand Boycott

Filmfare awards are here again and the nominations were several movies from the lotto win the coveted prize. There were several promising movies that won even critical acclaim last year. Uri, Kesari, Chichhore, Super30. However, Ranveer Singh's Gully boy swept all awards with a whopping 13 awards.

This has left not only the filmmakers but also fans red-faced. They are so unhappy about the poor choice of the winner that they have started a hashtag #BoycottFilmfare which has started trending.

A few netizens even called the awards paid and argued that Film Fare awards have been bought this year.

The team of Gully Boy though is kicked about the number of awards and are celebrating their win. They seem to be unfazed by all the hulla that's happening around. This has become the first movie with the most number of awards in various categories in Bollywood. Gully Boy has created a record of sorts with this feat.

Twitterati is furious and says that the choice is biased and real talent has been ignored royally.

Twitter is flooded with memes and reactions to the Film Fare awards with a majority of film buffs opposing this year's choice of movies while calling for a ban on the awards itself.
