I Understand the Game Better Now Says Parineeti Chopra
Actor Parineeti Chopra has seen high's and low's in her career and says that overtime her understanding for the "game" of films has improved and some films will work and some won't.
Parineeti Chopra was interacting with media for her forthcoming historical drama Kesari, also starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
Talking about role selection, Parineeti Chopra said, "I have gone right and wrong in my film selection and there is no such film which I knew beforehand that it will flop, while I was doing it. Before every film, I had the same feeling that this film will work. But sometimes it went wrong and sometimes it didn't, and now I have realized that it is the game"
"My process is still the same, it hasn't changed over time. My realization of the game has become stronger. Today, I will use my same brain, my same knowledge, but with the awareness that some films will work and some won't" added Parineeti.
Further explaining her point, Parineeti said, "Some actors are lucky that whatever they pick works for them, same happened with me in my early career, especially during first three years, all my movies worked"
Kesari is directed by Anurag Singh. It tells the story of Havildar Ishar Singh who participates in the Battle of Saragarhi (in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897).
Talking about the film, which according to Parineeti Chopra should have been made years ago, she said, "Kesari should have been made years ago; this is film little late because people should have known about this war. I am glad that it is happening now and today we have special effects and VFX to actually show everyone what the war must have looked like"
The film is scheduled for release on March 21, 2019.
