Malayalam Actress In Muthappa Rai Biopic?

Sandalwood director Ravisrivatsava is venturing into making one more movie about an underworld don who later reformed himself as a social worker. He was none other than Muthappa Rai.

Ravi is making this movie after a long hiatus. It may be recalled that the Sandalwood filmmaker had directed a movie by name "Deadly Soma" who was also involved in underworld activities.

Muthappa Rai's movie is titled 'MR'. The role of Muthappa Rai will be reprised by one called Dikshith who had played a young boy in the director's earlier movie 'Deadly Soma'.

The team which was searching for a suitable actress for the lead role have finalised a beauty from Kerala, it is learnt. Sowmya Menon, who has to her credit five Malayalam movies has been selected as heroine for this movie.

The shooting of the movie has already begun. However, we hear they are just introduction shots which are doing the rounds on social media. The team is planning to commence full fledged shooting from January.

Ravi Srivatsa is planning to shoot this movie in Puttur, Mangalore, Bangalore, and Dubai. Dikshith's father is bankrolling the movie. Guru Kiran will be scoring the music for the Muthappa Rai biopic. It is worth mentioning here that controversial director Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV too had announced that he would be making a movie on the life of Muthappa Rai but it did not happen.

Some parts of Muthappa Rai's life story were seen in some movies. But this is the first film in which a full account of Muthappa Rai's life story will unfold on the screen.
