Stop Starting And Participating In Negative Trends Around Sooryavanshi Says Akshay Kumar
Superstar Akshay Kumar issues a statement urging his fans and otherwise to stop starting and participating in negative trends around his upcoming action thriller Sooryavanshi.
Actor Akshay Kumar shared the statement on his social media profile, which read, "Since the past few days I've noticed certain negative trends being done by people dearest to me...you guys. I can see and understand your angst, all I can do is request you all with folded hands not to start/participate in such trends. I took up Sooryavanshi with a very positive outlook, let's continue making and releasing it in the same way"
The trouble with fans started when Shetty shifted the release date of Sooryavanshi by a couple of months to avoid a clash with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt-starrer Inshallah, which is to be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and arrives on Eid 2020.
Sooryavanshi will release on March 27, 2020 as opposed to sometime in June, on Eid. Though fans didn't react to shifting of release date all that well, some hailed the director's move, some ardent supporters of Kumar and Khan saw it as an opportunity to fuel rivalry between the two stars.
Sooryavanshi is produced by Shetty and Karan Johar under their banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions respectively, in association with Reliance Entertainment and Cape Of Good Films.
It is the costliest cop film ever made in Indian cinema history. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the titular role along with Katrina Kaif as the female lead.
