Taapsee Pannu shares a BTS first look picture from sets of Anubhav Sinha's Thappad
The actress, who is currently shooting for Thappad, keeps sharing behind the scenes pictures from the sets of the film industry. As of late, Taapsee shared another powerful image from the shoot of Thappad.
She cited eminent Punjabi writer and author Amrita Pritam in her post. She stated, "When a man denies the power of women, he is denying his very own subconscious- Amrita Pritam. Moving from one Amrita to the other..... Fundamental Main tenu pher milangi.... in theaters from 6 March 2020."
Main Tenu Pher Milangi is a poem written by Amrita Pritam. In her 2018 film Manmarziyaan, Taapsee's character was loosely inspired by the iconoclast writer. Taapsee also recites Main Tenu Phir Milangi in Manmarziyaan. In fact told, on Amrita Pritam's birth anniversary this year, posted a rendition of Main Tenu Phir Milangi on her social media account, to pay tribute to the amazing writer.
In Thappad, Taapsee is reuniting with her Mulk director Anubhav Sinha.
Anubhav prior took to Twitter to report the release date of the film, March 6, 2020. He stated, "Eleven is a favourable number and this is my eleventh film and most likely the hardest up until this point. Keep us blessed. This one is dedicated to the women of India. See you on Mar 6, 2020. @itsBhushanKumar."
Taapsee answered the tweet saying, "This year how about we make it considerably HAPPIER women's' Day! See all of you women alongside your men in theatres on sixth of March 2020 @anubhavsinha @itsBhushanKumar."
Anubhav Sinha additionally took to Twitter to share an image from the set of Thappad, in which Taapsee is seen looking over his shoulder. He captioned it, "yes it is looking good." Taapsee answered to the post saying, "And as I stay, 'I have your back.'"
Anubhav Sinha's last film Article 15 was hailed by critics. The film, which was all about caste discrimination, was in fact taken as a weapon to fight caste prejudice in Punjab.
Taapsee Pannu-starrer Thappad is a women-centric film and which is the reason, the makers are releasing it on March 6, in the Women's Day week one year from now.
