​Varun Dhawan And Sara Ali Khan in Coolie No 1 Remake

Finally the announcement we all have been waiting for, it is just been confirmed that superstar Varun Dhawan and newbie Sara Ali Khan are paired opposite in an adaptation of super hit Coolie No 1, which starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead.

Coolie No. 1 is a 1995 comedy film directed by David Dhawan. Over the years, the movie has become a classic in Indian film history and is now considered a cult film. The movie is a remake of the 1991 Tamil film, Chinna Mapillai and now once again the makers will adapt it.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the film on his social media profile. He tweeted, "IT'S OFFICIAL... After 25 years, David Dhawan and Vashu Bhagnani reunite to adapt their timeless comedy #CoolieNo1... Stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan... Shoot begins Aug 2019... #CoolieNo1 is David-Varun's next collaboration, after the super successful #Judwaa2"

The film, which has announced on Varun's 31st birthday, will go on floors in August this year. Filmmaker David Dhawan is returning to direct the new movie, which is produced by Vashu Bhagnani who also backed the 1995 film. After "Judwaa 2", the film marks David and Varun's second collaboration.

Varun Dhawan was last seen in Kalank, which also starred Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Khemu and more. The movie fared well at the box office.

Sara Ali Khan is just two movie's old, she was earlier seen in Kedarnath and Simmba.
