Vivek Oberoi Opens Up About PM Narendra Modi Release Issue
After relief from Supreme Court, the makers of PM Narendra Modi had a rude awakening when Indian Election Commission deterred the release of Modi Biopic.
Actor Vivek Oberoi, who plays the titular role of Narendra Modi in the film, was spotted at famous Siddhivinayak Temple here in Mumbai.
During his media interaction, Vivek talked about release issue. He said, "We have made this film with a lot of hard work. The entire team has worked hard and with full dedication, made this film. And I don't understand why one after another issues are cropping up in the release of the film"
"I am here at Siddhi-Vinayak Temple to seek blessing from the lord, so that issues could be resolved. I have full faith and devotion in Siddivinayak. And it is my heartfelt belief that with lords blessing my film will release very soon"
The film was earlier slated for 5th April release, which was later postponed till 11th April and now the movie is stalled indefinitely.
Last week, Vivek Oberoi, who plays PM Modi in the film, headlined the controversy surrounding the biopic after he targeted the Congress, wondering "if they are scared of the film or of Chowkidar's danda".
The Congress promptly responded, saying it's a "bogus film of a flop hero, a flop producer and is made on a flop person who has proved to be a zero."
"PM Narendra Modi", directed by Omung Kumar, tells the story of PM Modi's rise to power from his humble beginnings as a tea seller. The film is produced by Suresh Oberio and Sandip Ssingh.
