Dhanush film has a British villain

Indian film stars and makers have always had a fascination to feature stars from Hollywood to bolster their film's stature at the international level. This is the opposite of our own heroes and heroines striking contracts to work in Western films, from the late cine artistes Om Puri at one end and Irrfan Khan at the other, not to speak of Priyanka Chopra in recent times.

Karthik Subbaraj, who has had not a very happy experience over the OTT platform with his ' Penguin' has moved well to lend an international dimension to his forthcoming film with Dhanush titled ' Jagame Thandhiram'. The film has a continental feel with Dhanush taking on an established British actor James Cosmo in this film, with the latter trying to terrorise and subjugate the Tamil population in UK. The battle between our Chennai star and the British one is what is the film all about, say knowledgeable sources in the Tamil media circles.
