Atlee film on OTT?

In a short span of six years, with just four film releases, Atlee Kumar, more famously known as Atlee has emerged as one of the top directors of Tamil cinema. Notably, all his four films have done well in Tamil and also in other markets where it was dubbed and released, especially in the two Telugu States and Kerala, where Vijay, his favourite star has a huge market.

The young director was in the news in the recent months for his super-natural thriller 'Andhaghaaram' starring a host of newcomers. The film was formally announced in April and reports in the Tamil media say it has already attracted attention of OTT channels, who seem to be favouring Tamil films.

It is being whispered (as a YouTube channel reports) that the budget of the film was around Rs 1.5 crore while Atlee has got an offer three times the cost of production. However, the deal has not been struck as Atlee has demanded more, say sources in the know.
