With the death of a veteran playback singer A L Raghavan, who was 86 when he passed away, the film industry in Chennai is in a panic mode. Already the city is under a fresh lockdown till June 30.

Though Raghavan was reported to have passed away due to cardiac arrest, a section of the Tamil media has also mentioned that he was afflicted with the pandemic along with his actress wife, M N Rajam who is under home quarantine.

There are unconfirmed reports that there are a few music directors, film directors, actors who are afflicted and are under treatment. Names are not being mentioned as it is top secret, say sources.

The top four- Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay and Ajith Kumar - are under high protection and have not been stirring out of their homes.

While a few virus-affected have been helped financially by the industry wellwishers, many want to play safe and would want to take up their work only when it is all clear.
