Film director opens a kirana store to survive
Joblessness during the corona pandemic has been severe. Many industries and sectors have had crippling effect of lockdown and there have been innumerable stories of job losses and pay cuts. The cinema industry has been no exception.
Though the Tamil film industry has started off with its post-production activities and the small screen units have begun their shooting schedules, there are film directors who are bearing the brunt of idle time over the past few months.
One such young director, B Kumar, who has directed five films in the last decade decided to move out of the glamour world and turn real.
He has opened a provision store in a suburb of Chennai where he promises to deliver efficient and timely service to customers by providing quality goods. Kumar has one film awaiting release while another has been announced.
