Income Tax Raid: Rs 65 Crore seized from Financier Anbu Chezhiyan, Actor Vijay questioned By Income Tax Authorities

Thalapathy Vijay, a favorite child of controversies, has hit the headlines after Income Tax officials raided his Chennai home. At the same time, IT officials searched AGS Group offices, AGS Cinemas and the location of film financier Anbu Chezhiyan. The team has found Rs 65 Crore from the Tamil film industry's film financier Anbu Cheliyan, according to the latest update on the same. The IT officials have found some unaccounted transactions between Anbu Chezhiyan and Master actor Vijay. However, the other report states the counting is still going on the seizure is likely to go up... No official numbers are out yet.

Meanwhile, Vijay is being questioned after his recent film Bigil received a tip from the Income Tax department that the actor had taken a huge amount of cash towards salary. Under the provisions of Section 132 of the Income Tax Act, 1961, a warrant was issued against Thalapathy Vijay. The team met Neyveli on the sets of its upcoming movie Master. The actor was asked to accompany the team to Chennai on Wednesday for further investigation. Reportedly, Vijay refused to travel with the team but after the officials explained to the actor for 15 minutes that why he has to accompany them to Chennai, the Bigil star agreed to it.
