Jayam Ravi

He is the son of Editor Mohan, who directed a couple of notable films in Telugu in the 1990s. After a stint with director Suresh Krishna and armed with a degree in Visual Communication, Ravi, now known as 'Jayam' Ravi has travelled a good distance since his debut in 2003 with the remake of the Telugu hit helmed by Teja.

His first film, for which Kamal Haasan sounded the clapboard, launched him well but it has taken nearly 17 years for him to touch his 25th film – Bhoomi .

It was 'Thani Oruvan' released in 2015 which gave him a booster shot. It was remade as 'Dhruva' with Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh in Telugu subsequently. Now Ravi is awaiting his next ' Bhoomi', a milestone film of sorts for him.

Talks are on to come up with a sequel for his 2015 hit too. Mani Ratnam has included him in his mega casting for ' Ponniyin Selvan'. This 40-year-old hero is on the fast track for sure, as of now.
