Rajisha, Dhanush's latest heroine

From Manju Warrier to Aishwarya Lekshmi, Dhanush has been featured with Mallu heroines in his recent releases. Adding to the list of beauties from God's Own Country is the 29-year-old Journalism student Rajisha Vijayan, an erstwhile TV person and a successful heroine with seven films in Kerala film industry. She is to be seen with Dhanush in 'Karnan', the film to be directed by Mari Selvaraj, a new director whose last release was a critically acclaimed hit.

Having done her course in Delhi when the infamous Nirbhaya incident occurred, Rajisha recollects that she was part of many agitations that occurred in the city protesting the lack of safety for women in the capital city. That was one reason why she decided to quit Delhi and relocate to Kochi where she took up the media job.

Recollecting her TV days when she was working for Surya TV, she told a Tamil magazine that her on field programme in which she used to play songs of viewers' choice was her favourite as she could get to know why people liked a particular song. With the Tamil film on the floors, it would be interesting to see how Dhanush fans take to her once the film gets released.
