Tax Evasion Comes Back To Haunt Vijay, IT Summons Kollywood Thalapathy
Close on the heels of finding Rs 65 crores in cash at the properties of Bigil producer of AGS Entertainments, Anbu Chezhiyan, the lead actor of the movie Thalapathy Vijay seems to be in a bit of a spot.
In a latest development on Monday, the Income Tax department is said to have issued summons to the Kollywood actor with regard to alleged tax evasion. Vijay's links with producer Anbu is now under the IT radar after the sleuths found some undislosed transactions between the actor-finance duo. They are even said to have grilled the actor on the total money he made from his last release Bigil which was a sports drama.
It may be recalled that there were income tax raids on the properties of Anbu as well as Vijay's home in Chennai.
Vijay will be next seen in Lokesh Kanakaraj's Master which has raised a lot of eyebrows after the first look was released by the makers on Twitter. Vijay Sethupathi is playing the baddie in the movie. The Tamil flick is being bankrolled by none other than his kin Xavier Britto. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music. The movie is currently being shot at a coal mine in Neyveli where a special set has been erected for the purpose.Lokesh is expected to shoot a couple of high-octane action sequences between Vijay and Sethupathi in this schedule.
