Thalaiva Rajinikanth Remuneration For This Movie Was Just Rs 6000
The very mention of Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth's name can give you goosebumps. From being a bus conductor in Bengaluru to a superstar in the Tamil Film industry, the actor has come a long way. He has climbed one step at a time to reach where he is today. So much so that Rajinikanth is called the Thalaiva of Kollywood.
The Tamil superstar didn't have it easy. In his initial days, Rajini has worked with some huge Kannada stars in Kannada movies. Eventually, when he got a call from Chennai, Rajini went back and then like they say rest was history.
It took some time for the actor to establish a place for himself in the industry. Born a Maharashtrian and spent a good part of his life amid Kannada people, imagine becoming a name to reckon with in the Tamil film industry.
Now, he is one of the most bankable stars and is also one of the highest-paid actors in Kollywood. But would you believe it if we said that Rajinikanth's had agreed to work for just Rs 6000 in a movie?
This was when he had just started off when an offer came knocking at his door sometime in 1970. The actor asked for a remuneration of Rs 10,000 but somehow the producer is believed to have bargained for Rs 6000 that the Thalaiva agreed to. It just goes on to show how long Superstar Rajinikanth has travelled from the time he started.
