Vaathi Raid Song in Vijay's Master Inspired By Recent Bigil Tax Incident?
Even as uncertainty looms over the much talked about Master audio launch at a luxury hotel in Chennai with select invitees, the makers of the Vijay movie dropped a single from the flick. The track is titled Vaathi Raid. The song is penned by Arivu who has also sung the song with Tollywood music sensation Anirudh Ravichander, who has composed the tunes in the Kollywood Thalapathy's Master.
Now, even since the heavy mettle action song was released, social media is abuzz with specuations over the title of the song. We all know that the income tax department conducted a surprise raid on the houe of Vijay as well as his movie Bigil's producer Anbu during which they found crores of rupees at the latter's residence.
The IT sleuths who summoned the Kollywood actors to rush home from Neyveli where he was shooting for Master, grilled him about some unaccounted for transactions between him and his Bigil producer. He was also asked about his real salary for Bigil. Of course Vijay was given a clean chit later.
Yet, people who heard the song say that Vijay's Master song Vaathi Raid is inspired by the IT raids at his place.
This is not the first time a Vijay movie has targeted a government department. In his early movies like Mersal and Sarkar, Vijay took on the might of the Modi government and the initiatives like demonetisation, digital India. Vijay also took a dig at the corruption in the present political system by mocking at fake votes casted during elections to ensure the party's win with a huge majority.
Master is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie which also stars Malavika Mohan has been grabbing the headlines since its announcement for one reason or the other.
The Vijay movie is slated for release on April 9. There are talks that Vijay's MAster release date could be delayed owing to the current coronavirus scenario in the country.
