Was Samuthirakani paid Rs 2 crore for his RRR role?

Among the artistes to have been featured in Telugu cinema, Samuthirakani is a prominent face. While he is a hero and a very natural one in Tamil cinema, in the neighbouring film territory he has been seen essaying villain roles too as one saw in 'Ala Vaikunthapurramlo'.

In a popular Tamil YouTube chat show aired a few days ago, there were discussions on the recent projects that the actor has been taking up in Telugu and how his professional attitude and dealings seem to have worked in his favour.

The anchor team specifically spoke about S S Rajamouli's 'RRR' in which the Tamil star is working and how for his role in the film, he has been paid a sum of Rs 2 crore.

With a multi-lingual image to his advantage, having been featured in a few Malayalam films earlier, the currently successful Samuthirakani has at least five films readied up for release this year, if things turn normal.

He is to be seen in Kamal Haasan's ' Indian 2' and Ravi Teja's ' Krack' in Telugu too.
