Kollywood actor Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer 'Master' movie is all set to release in the second week of January.

Fans who were eagerly waiting for the release of this movie are looking forward to watching the movie on the big screen.

The movie which has been produced on a massive budget if released as per Corona norms is bound to bring down the profits to the makers. Hence Kollywood actor Vijay has made an appeal to the government of Tamil Nadu. The government had given its nod to the opening of theatres a few months ago after a long span of lockdown imposing a few restrictions.

To cite an example, if a theatre has 1000 seats,, provision was given for only 500 seats to maintain social distancing between two seats. But this has proved to be a bane for big budget movies. This is really a difficult situation for Producers as people are already hesitating to come to theatres.

According to sources, the movie will be released around Pongal and tickets booking will commence from January 7. Hence Vijay paid a visit to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palanisamy to request the Chief Minister to allow theatres to accommodate theatregoers to cent per cent capacity.

But the Tamil Nadu government is yet to take a call on this and hence no official announcement has been made so far. While the Producers of big budget movies are hesitating to release their movies Xavier Britto, the Producer of 'Master' has dared to release the movie unable to bear the pressure from Vijay fans who can't wait to see their icon in action. An official announcement in this regard is likely to be made soon by this team.

Now, the big question, will Palanisamy heed Vijay's request and allow 100% occupancy in theatres? Let's wait and watch.
