Paresh Ganatra's character in 'Aapka Apna Zakir' is 'consumed by money, good food'

Mumbai: Actor Paresh Ganatra, who is all set to bring his unique flair to Zakir Khan's debut TV show 'Aapka Apna Zakir', shared that his character's mind is consumed by ways to make money.

Alongside Zakir, the show features Shweta Tiwari and Rithvik Dhanjani. Paresh, known for his excellent sense of humour will be joining them as well.

Embracing a quintessential Gujarati persona, Paresh's character will talk about shares, real estate, insurance, and investments.

Paresh shared: "I’m thrilled to be a part of 'Aapka Apna Zakir'. Comedy has changed so much over the years and I am so excited to be a part of a wholesome show with so many facets. Playing a character whose mind is consumed by how to make money and who enjoys good food is a lot of fun. It will add a humorous touch to the show."

Blending humour with heartfelt life lessons, this light-hearted show will offer a wide range of laughs, shayaris, insightful interviews with celebrities and unforgettable moments.

Together with 'Sakth Launda' aka Zakir, the team promises to deliver a unique and entertaining experience that is sure to make for a fun watch.

'Aapka Apna Zakir' is set to premiere on August 10 on Sony.

Paresh started his acting career with Gujarati theatre in 1984. He made his film debut in 1999 with the romantic drama 'Mann', written and directed by Indra Kumar. The film starred Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala, alongside Anil Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore and Neeraj Vora with Rani Mukerji in a special appearance.

He has acted in movies like 'Aankhen', 'Dil Diya Hai', 'No Entry', 'Money Hai Toh Honey Hai', 'Khichdi: The Movie', 'Delhi Belly', 'Rowdy Rathore', 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya', 'Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se', 'Dabangg 3', and 'Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan'.
