Ajai Rao to play lead role in another Krishna series film
Bengaluru: Sandalwood star Ajai Rao, who has delivered hits like 'Excuse Me', 'Krishna Love Story', 'Taj Mahal', 'Krishna Leela' and 'Krishna Marriage Story', is now part of a new film under the banner of G-Cinemas of director-turned-producer Guru Deshpande and muhurat is slated for January 24.
Interestingly, this new untitled film will have a story written by a popular director Shashank, who earlier directed successful Krishna-series of films – 'Krishnan Love Story' and 'Krishna Leela' for Ajai Rao. The sources claim that this film too is likely to be in 'Krishna' series and will be helmed by a debutant director Shankar, who has earlier worked as a co-director and associate director in over 15 films including 'Gentleman', 'Raja Huli' and 'Rudratandava'.
"The film will be based on Krishna series of Ajai Rao brand. But the title is yet to be confirmed before muhurat.
Also the team is in talks with a top actress from Sandalwood to play the female lead, sources told The Hans India.
G-Cinemas has made 'Gentleman' and the anthology titled 'Pentagon' is nearing completion. G-Cinemas film 'Rainbow', with Ajai Rao is now kept pending.
"The Rainbow team is now making the new film. But this is a completely different story and presentation. The strong rapport between Ajai Rao and Shashank is expected to produce good script for the new film. Shashank always manages to come up with good concepts and stories and the Krishna series is one of the best loved ones in Kannada. We will announce the title of this new film very soon," said Guru Deshpande.
