Kannada Director S Narayan Gets Honorary Doctorate

Famous sandalwood actor and director Kala Samrat S Narayan is endowed with an honorary doctorate from universal development council, after recognising his services in the film industry.

S Narayan is a household name in the Kannada film industry. Besides Kannada TV serials, the filmmaker has directed several hit movies including Galate Aliyandru, Simhadriya Simha, Chaitrada Premanjali, Kothigalu Sir Kothigalu, Veerappa Nayaka and Shabdavedi.

The director has carved a niche for himself in Gandhinagar after he stepped into Sandalwood with his directorial movie "Chaitrada Premanjali' featuring Raghuveer, Lokesh and Vinodini. S Narayan is also an actor and has appeared in several Kannada movies.

He has worked for about 30 years and cemented his position in the industry as a bankable director, actor, and producer. S Narayan has directed many famous Kannada stars like Dr Rajkumar, and Dr Vishnuvardhan. He has also acted in many movies by paying full justice to the characters he portrayed.

S Narayan has about 49 movies to his credit. He has directed a Tamil movie too. S Narayan, who spoke on the occasion of being honoured with doctorate, said that though he has won many awards because of the support of his fans, getting a doctorate like this is unbelievable and it is a wonderful feeling.
