Shobhaa De Uses Megastar Chiranjeevi Picture To Condole Kannada Actor Chiru Sarja Death
Who would have thought that a harmless tweet posted with noble intentions would boomerang because of an oversight? It all happened after the demise of Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja. The actor died at an young age following a heart attack. Condolences for the departed soul flooded Twitter from celebrities, politicians and fans.
Well known author and columnist Shobhaa De became a victim of online trolls for posting a condolence message with a picture of Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi instead of Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja.
Trolls started within no time and she was slammed by fans for her ignorance. Realising her folly and unable to bear the criticism, Shobhaa De soon deleted her tweet. In her condolence post on social media for Chiranjeevi Sarja, Shobhaa De had written "One more shining star gone! Just like that...what a tragic loss! Condolences to the beraved family members @chirusarja."
The message was genuine and a heartfelt one. However, instead of Chiru Sarja's photo, she posted a pic of Megastar Chiranjeevi which angered his fans.
Chiranjeevi Sarja had over 22 movies to his credit and also had several movies lined up. His performances in Vayuputra, Varadanayaka, Chirru, Dandam Dashagunam was noteworthy. He was not only a talented actor but also a great human being.
