South Indian Filmmakers Get Bumper Offer

Only the other day, we heard that Kannada filmmakers had been drawn to Uttar Pradesh in India. Several Sandalwood movies in the recent past have been shot there.

Now perhaps to counter that Madhya Pradesh government has come out with a bumper offer to the South Indian Filmmakers. We hear that the MP govt has recently drafted a tourism policy not only in a bid to boost the industry but also to benefit the filmmaking industry.

As per the new film tourism policy framed by the MP govt, filmmakers will get a subsidy of up to 2 crores for shooting movies there. Not just that, south filmmakers will be delighted to hear that they will get an additional 10 per cent subsidy as per the new policy framed this year.

The number of films shot will determine the kind of grant the makers will receive from the government of Madhya Pradesh, as per a statement. And guess what? Even those shooting web series can avail the offer.
