Tagaru Villain Dhananjay Now A Hero
Remember Tagaru? Yes, hattrick hero Shivarajkumar's box office wonder. The film was a money spinner thanks to its content and also the actors. While Shivanna's acting prowess needs no introduction, one another actor in the movie who caught everyone's attention was none other than Dhananjay who played a baddie in the movie. He proved his mettle as an actor in the movie that he has made other filmmakers sit up and take notice.
Now, we hear the villain is all set to the don the cap of a hero. The movie is titled Dolly (Dhananjay's character in Tagaru) and will go to sets on December 23. This will be Yogesh Narayan's venture and will be shot in Lucknow, we hear. Tagaru was a Suri movie and now, Dolly is set to be a continuity from there. The Lucknow schedule will last 25 days after which the crew will move to Bengaluru.
Dolly will feature two leading ladies- Rachita Ram and Bhavya Trika (a debutante in Kannada).
While Anoop Seeelan will score the music for Dolly, Jayanth Kaikini and Nagendra Prasad will provide the lyrics. Srinivas Devamasam is working on the screenplay. Vinod will take care of choreography and stunts, it is learned.
It now remains to be seen if Dhananjay will give other actors a tough competition as it is no mean feat to go from being a villain to a hero in a short span of time.
In the meantime, we hear Tagaru sequel too is on cards and Shivanna is gearing up for the same. I will bring you more on that soon.
