Akhil, Prashanth to team up?

Young actor Akhil is reportedly planning to team up with new-age director Prashanth Varma for a big-ticket movie. "Akhil had a few meetings with Prashanth and discussing few story ideas. They could zero in on an exciting script very soon," says an industry source. Prashanth who arrived with 'Awe', is now directing Dr Rajasekhar in 'Kalki' and has become a sought-after director. "Many heroes are showing interest to work with Prashanth because he comes up with refreshing ideas," the source adds.

After working with seasoned directors like V V Vinayak and Vikram Kumar, Akhil is determined to join hands with younger directors as they can connect with new

generation audience. "Akhil will not take any risks and would work with directors who are willing to explore new thoughts," the source points out.

Right now, Akhil is working with Bommarillu Bhaskar for a wholesome entertainer under Geeta Arts and would join Prashant by September or October, if everything falls in place, the source concludes.
