Amitabh Bachchan in Tanikella Bharani's direction?

Tanikella Bharani is a popular writer and actor. He made his debut as a director with the film Mithunam. SP Balu and Lakshmi played the lead roles in the film. The film won many awards. Amitabh Bachchan showed interest to remake it in Hindi. Tanikella Bharani is currently holding the talks for the same and the deal has been in the final stages.

Amitabh Bachchan will reprise the role of SP Balu while Rekha will play the role of Lakshmi in the film. Bharani wanted to remake it in other languages but he did not find the investors. Later, he wanted to dub in Kannada and found a producer. Now, Amitabh offered him the direction in Hindi.
