Anil Ravipudi joins elite 8Crore club?
After blockbuster 'F2', the stocks of young director Anil Ravipudi are soaring high. Producer Anil Sunkara is reportedly paying Rs 8 crore remuneration to Anil Ravipudi to direct superstar Mahesh Babu in his next.
"The director has assured to wrap up the film within Rs 50 crore budget, excluding Mahesh Babu's remuneration, with a big star cast, eye-pleasing locations and assured to deliver a roaring entertainer," says a source, close to the unit.
In fact, it took many years and more blockbusters for directors like Puri Jagannath, Trivikram Srinivas, Koratala Siva and Boyapati Srinu to cross the Rs 8 crore pay, but Anil joined the elite club with four blockbusters in a row-'Pataas', 'Supreme,' 'Raja The Great' and 'F2'. "Anil has become a sought-after director because he elevates heroism of superstars to the next level to cater to the fans of respective stars.
Besides he cuts down wastage, shoots faster and completes movies within specified budgets, that is key for him to get big offers," the source adds.
He was supposed to do a film with Balakrishna and also held a few discussions with him.But it didn't take off. Maybe, he will direct Nandamuri star sometime later.
