Balakrishna rejects, Gopichand approves

Tollywood: Alimelumanga Venkataramana is the upcoming Telugu film that is shaping up in the combination of Gopichand and director Teja. Earlier, the actor and director worked on movies like Nijam and Jayam. In both films, Gopichand played the villain but now, the actor plays the role of a solo hero. The movie is going to be an interesting one considering the title, but the buzz is that Balakrishna earlier rejected the same story.

While Teja was working on NTR biopic, he narrated the subject to Balakrishna but the actor rejected it citing his own reasons. Teja made changes to the same and narrated it to Gopichand who immediately agreed to do the film. The film is currently in the pre-production stage.
