Actually, seasoned star Balakrishna is one of the few Telugu stars who doesn't hike his pay quite often and was always supportive of producers. Probably, he seems to have realized his market and reportedly demanding Rs 10 crore for his upcoming film with producer C Kalyan and directed by K S Ravi Kumar. "It is true that Balakrishna will be drawing Rs 10 crore remuneration for his upcoming cop story," says a source, close to the unit and "At times he has given up his balance remuneration if the producer had some difficulty during releases. He didn't give much importance to money in his career spanning over two decades and preferred to work with people whom he liked and struck a chord, irrespective of whether the producer was financially sound or even director who could have a delivered a flop before his movie," he adds.

On the other hand, the Nandamuri star will cut down on productions and could do few films outside banners. "He will try to strike a balance between home productions and outside banners, depending up the script and production team," the source points out. Actually, after doing 100-odd movies, Balakrishna ventured into production with his dad's biopic 'N.T.R' to make it with a lot passion and commitment and received lot of appreciation, but not big monetary gains. Already, he announced his next big-ticket film with director Boyapati Srinu and it will go on the floors soon. "C Kalyan made good money with 'Jai Simha' and was waiting to do another film with Balakrishna for more than a year. So, when he got required dates, he began work for C Kalyan's film" the source concludes.

Nonetheless, Balayya joined the elite list of star-turned-producers like NTR, ANR, Krishna and Krishnam Raju by establishing a production house to dish out big movies.
