Dulquer gaining ground in T-town

Talented actor Dilquer Salmaan is slowly gaining ground in two Telugu states. The actor, who won acclaim for his performance as Gemini Ganeshan in 'Mahanati,' has become a house-hold name among Telugu viewers.

His latest release 'Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante' is turning out to be a sleeper hit. The dubbed movie was publicized as a love story but it is a riveting thriller. Dulquer is gaining ground in Telugu states," says distributor Ramakrishna.

It opened to low openings in the first weekend but gained patronage from the audiences with strong word-of-mouth which did the wonders. It is the only dubbed movie in recent times that worked at Telugu box-office. Moreover, it is doing good business in this season," adds Ramakrishna.

The success of 'Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante' has not only brought demand to Dulquer's next dubbed movies, but it also gave confidence to corporate production house Viacom 18 to invest in Telugu.
