Gopi, Bogavalli film put on hold?
Blame it on the bad show of 'Chanakya,' leading producer Bogavalli Prasad is reportedly having second thoughts about his upcoming film with action hero Gopichand, which was launched recently.
"No doubt, the lackluster run of 'Chanakya' has raised doubts in the mind of Bogavalli and he is planning to put the action film on hold, until Gopichand delivers a hit," says a source, close to the unit.
Sometimes, the box-office performance alters the fate of heroes and producers would like to defer the shooting. "The film has a forest backdrop and will be an expensive action adventure revolving around hero and heroine in thick jungles," the source adds.
Earlier, the much-hyped movie was in the news when top actresses like Raashi Khanna and Kajal declined the female lead role, unwilling to spend 30 to 40 days in dense forests to avoid unnecessary risks.
The Binu Subramanyam directorial will take more time to go on the sets, the source points out.
Instead of wasting time, Gopichand, who is talks with director Teja, will be commencing shooting with the 'Jayam' director since he liked the script and it could go on the floors very soon.
"After playing a baddy in 'Jayam' and 'Nijjam', the well-built actor will be playing a protagonist in Teja's star-centric film which is high on action and emotional quotient." the source concludes.
