Hotshot Vijay Devarakonda says that July 26 was an important day in his life. 'The audience who are thronging theatres are sweet comrades since it's a special movie for me," said the actor, at the success meet of his latest release 'Dear Comrade' on Saturday.
"It has been an emotional journey for me as I worked on this film for almost a year. After doing this film, I became an emotional person," he informs.
He says that his friends are asking him why I have become emotional as I shed tears at the pre-release function of my brother's movie. "Thanks, to 'Dear Comrade, it awakened my emotional side.
I am proud of it," he points out. He is happy that the audience in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka States are appreciating the film. "It's my biggest hit till date and I am happy that audience in different states are loving it, that's the key," he adds.
As it was made as multi-lingual film, "I felt it was my responsibility to draw in crowds and did my best and finally it is reaching out to people beyond the two Telugu states,".
He thanked director Bharat Kamma for his 'work' and didn't mind critics giving 'mixed' reviews about the movie. "We wanted the film in the same manner and didn't want to enhance the pace of the movie in the second half.
It tracks the lives of Bobby and Lilly. Even in real-life, everything will be fine, until life hits a roadblock. Hence, two different tracks before and after interval. In fact, it is close to real-life." he concludes.
