Reigning star Vijay Deverakonda's ardent fans got to see his emotional side at the pre-release event of his younger brother Anand Deverakonda's debut film, 'Dorasani.'

Produced by Madhura Shreedhar Reddy, the film also marks veteran actor Rajasekhar's younger daughter Shivathmika's foray into Tollywood.

Speaking about his younger brother, Vijay teared up and shared a story about how Anand clung to him when they were studying at the Puttaparthi school.

Vijay said, "I didn't like it when Anand decided to come to India leaving his job in Deloitte in US. He had struggled a lot to go there and I had asked him what he'd do here.

He said that he'd manage the Rowdy (Vijay Deverakonda's clothingline) business here. I was completely baffled when he told me that he wanted to act.

Despite my warnings, he continued, so I told him not to expect any help from me." He also added that there was a reason behind not helping his brother.

"I wanted him to know the struggle an actor had to go through from choosing a script to the theatrical release. Since I was also busy with 'Dear Comrade,' we never talked about his film 'Dorasani' at all," he shared.

Finally, when he was invited for the pre-release event, he urged the producers to show him the movie. "I didn't want to come here without watching the film.

I was impressed with director Mahendra's work, which is loaded with expressions than dialogues," he concludes. The film is slated for release on July 12.
