I essay a dark role, says Naga Chaitanya

Actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is back with his new film `Majili' which will hit the screens this Friday. Talking about his film, he said "I watched `Ninnu Kori' and was impressed with Shiva's work. One fine day, I called him and asked him to ready a script for me.

Months later, he came up with `Majili' and that is how the project took off,". On casting Samantha as his wife, "Samantha was Shiva's choice for the role, not mine. Our roles in the film are very diverse and challenging and Shiva felt that who better than Sam could justice to it.

She is a terrific talent," he informs. On working with Samantha after a gap, he adds, "It was interesting to work with her again. But all that helped me in a big way. When you have capable actors in front of you, it becomes even more challenging to perform," he reasons. It is learnt that he has delivered one of the best performance in the film? "Very true. Credit should go to Shiva as he prepared with my role six months prior to the shoot.
