After tasting big success with suspense thriller 'Rakshasudu', young actor Bellamkonda Srinivas is planning to do big budget movies, unwilling to compromise on quality.

"He wants producer and directors to come up with scripts for lavish extravaganzas, with a budget of minimum Rs 30 crore," says an industry source.

Probably, Jr Bellamkonda believes that his films with huge budgets will push his career a few notches upwards.

"Now-a-days casting top-notch heroines, a couple of big bang action episodes besides richly-mounted songs in picturesque foreign locations and VFX works demand big money due to rise in cost of production," the source reasons.

Actually, Jr Bellamkonda began his career with big budget film like 'Alludu Seenu' and also did some action movies like 'Jaya Janaki Nayaka' but delivered flops like 'Saakshyam' and 'Sita', despite being made without compromising on budget .

"Srinivas has expanded his pan-India market and Hindi dubbing rights for his movies are fetching anywhere between Rs 10 to 12 crore and Telugu satellite rights fetch another Rs 4 crore besides his theatrical business of over Rs 13 to 15 crore and digital rights also add to his soaring business," the source points out.

However, his recent flops have dented his market and the figures quoted above have come down drastically, according to a leading distributor.

"His films make money only if they are superhits, otherwise disttributors have lost money in his previous duds," he adds.

No doubt, Srinivas wants to move to the league of Nani and Varun Tej but only time will tell, whether it works out for him or not.
