Nag to bet money on K S Ravikumar?
After duds like 'Officer' and 'Manmadhudu 2,' seasoned star Nagarjuna is reportedly planning to join hands with Tamil director K S Ravikumar for a big-ticket movie.
"Nagarjuna met K S Ravikumar and discussed a few story ideas. Although both are showing interest to team up, nothing is fixed yet," says a source, close to the family.
Actually, K S Ravikumar is in Hyderabad to complete his Telugu film 'Ruler' with another seasoned actor Balakrishna which is set to release on December 20.
Last year, the director of 'Dasavatharam', delivered a moderate hit 'Jai Simha' with Nandamuri Balakrishna. "Earlier, Ravikumar delivered blockbusters with stars like Rajnikanth, Ajith Kumar and Surya and now he is trying to make some space for himself in Telugu film industry.
He is known for wrapping up even star-studded movies in 80 to 90 days with meticulous planning and execution," the source adds.
Whereas, Nagarjuna is planning to bet his money on Tamil director because he has worked with Tamil directors in the past. "Nagarjuna is a pioneer in introducing other language directors in Telugu.
He has worked with the likes of Mani Ratnam, Priyadarshan, Suresh Krishna, Faazil, Lawrence and Vikram Kumar and struck gold at the box office," the source points out.
No doubt, the 'Manmadhudu' star will be looking to do a star-driven movie with K S Ravikumar, riding on an interesting plot. It could fall into the category of much-awaited movies in 2020.
