Out Of 28 Films, Dear Comrade is the Only Telugu Film in Oscars List
This is one of the good news you will hear today. Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer, Dear Comrade, is one among the 28 Indian films that are in contention for Indian entry for oscar which is surprisingly a very unique feat.
Out of 28 films, Dear Comrade is the only Telugu film on the list. Many classics like Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho, URI, Vada Chennai are also in contention. Below is the list of films that are in contention.
Written and directed by Bharat Kamma, Dear Comrade is one of the most beautiful and lovely films of the year. But it ended up as a failure at the box office. But some of the audience loved the film and termed it as a classic.
Though most of the critics have given the film a thumbs up, they have criticized it for being too lengthy. Dear Comrade is a story of two characters, Bobby and Lilly. The film addresses the burning issue of sexual harassment.
Out of these 28 films, one film will be nominated from India for Oscars. And the result will be declared tomorrow by the jury that includes directors Pratim D Gupta and Ashoke Viswanathan, editor Sujay Dutta Ray, scriptwriter Padmanabha Dasgupta, and composer Debojyoti Mishra.
