Rajamouli's Last Resort To Console Jr NTR Fans
SS Rajamouli is busy with the making of his highly ambitious big ticket film RRR. After his previous movie Baahubali became a massive hit, the maverick Telugu filmmaker couldn't have settled for anything less. No wonder then he visualised something bigger.
If his Baahubali franchise which broke all records and set a new benchmark in Indian cinema had an ensemble cast comprising actors like Tamannaah, Prabhas, Sudeep, Sathya Raj, Nasser, Anushka and Ramya Krishna, his upcoming movie which is still in the production stage boasts of some international actors. By now, you know that RRR is a fictitious tale of two real life Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem. RRR explores the friendship between the two.
Now, when Alia Bhatt came on board Rajamouli fans were thrilled but they were disappointed to know that British actress Daisy Edger Jones who was to play the female lead opposite Tarak had walked out of the project owing to personal reasons. If that was not enough the shoot of RRR was delayed due to several reasons. Starting from Daisy to Ram Charan's injury.
Then came the announcement that the movie release date too had been pushed. The movie was to earlier release in July 2020. Anyway that is not all Tarak fans were getting restless over the fact that Rajamouli hadn't roped in the female lead yet resulting in delay of release in the first look of Jr NTR in RRR. The makers have finally put all their fears to rest when the team announced yesterday that three foreign actors will be seen in RRR.
To begin with Olivia Morris will play Jennifer opposite Tarak, while Raj Stevenson will a baddie Scott. Another actress Alison Doodh too has been roped in to play a baddie. This, we think was a strategy adopted by the filmmakers to pacify NTR Fans who were miffed over him not getting a lead actress. Now that all the people are on board, let's hope the project moves at a fast pace.
