Ravi stops Theri once again

Yet again, seasoned star Ravi Teja has reportedly put the remake of Tamil film 'Theri' on the backburner as it was supposed to go on the floors from April 15. "Just few days ago, Ravi Teja has resolved to put the film on hold since he was not happy with the final draft," says a source, close to the actor.

Actually, the 'Kick' star commenced shooting for this film in November 2017, but later, stalled the shooting and asked director Santhosh Srinivas to re-work on the script and began shooting for his other film 'Amar Akbar Antony'. "Ravi Teja will not take any chances and he may not do this cop story in the near future," the source adds.

Initially, the actor showed keen interest to do the remake of Tamil blockbuster 'Theri', starring Vijay since it was one of the top grossers in the annals of Tamil cinema. Now, Santhosh Srinivas has to either look for an alternative script or move to another star.

The 'Venky' star tasted duds like 'Nela Ticket' and 'Touch Chesi Choodu' and doesn't want to begin any film in a hurry. Although, he tasted success with success with cop stories like 'Vikramarkudu' and 'Power,' he now wants to defer it, albeit, for a couple of months.
