Sankranthi Releases And their Achievements

Sankranthi 2020 witnessed the releases of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru. The promotions of the two movies revealed a lot of interesting facts. Apparently, the two films made big amounts at the box-office with the increase in ticket prices.

Interestingly, Vizag is consistently growing into a HUGE market for Telugu films. Both the films Ala Vaikunthapurramloo & Sarileru Neekevvaru have together collected about Rs 36 crore share in just 14 days. Another interesting observation is that there is a hike in the collections of the film in the Telangana region.

The general perception is collections in Telangana would be on the lower side compared to the Andhra region during the Sankranthi festival. But this time, both the films collected about Rs 70 crore share and there is a growth in the collections in this region.

Both the movies did make the USA market glow again with a gross of nearly $5.7 million at the box-office. Although the debate of fake collections is going on at the box-office, the Sankranthi releases did help the market come up well.
