Book Swap, the new way
Back Lane Book Swap is a novel concept adapted by the denizens of Hethersett, a sleepy suburb of Norwich city in the Norfolk County of England. The residents of the back lane of Hethersett launched the new idea to bring back people to reading books.
'The Book Swap', which comprises of interesting books ranging from thrillers to adventure and even to funny reading, encourages people to collect books free. The books may be returned or share with their friends. They need not leave a book to take one.
An elderly couple Thomas Clennel and his wife Dawn Clennel who were browsing through the books at the Book Swap on the back lane of Hethersett said it's an interesting new concept to encourage the reading of books among people who is diminishing by the day.
Dawn Clennel says she is happy to find books for children. "It would surely help them to rediscover the art of reading," she says. Dawn hopes that the children would realise the joy of reading and roam in the wonder world of books.
'The Book Swap' advises people that they need not leave a book to take a book. It only says that they may return the book or share the same with their friends and fellow book lovers.
The display board says that all books are free while welcoming donations for further purchase of books. A small open box is kept amidst the books.
People who visited the Book Swap are appealed to like the concept on Facebook—Back Lane Book Swap Hethersett.
