The fragrance of 'Sarvari'
The significance of this new year going by the name of this Ugadi, is all about the fragrance. It is called 'Sarvari". So, what does this Sarvari Nama Samvatsaram mean in general to us? Even Before this, let us try to recall where have we come across this word 'Sarvari' if at all.
Sarvari is one of the 1008 names of Goddess Parvati, daughter of Himavanta, and consort of Lord Shiva.
The Telugu Calendar year starts on the day of Ugadi. Since, this festival marks start of the new year in the Telugu culture.
Telugu new year i.e. Ugadi for the year 2019 was on April 6th and it was called Vikari Nama Samvatsaram. This year 2020 Ugadi falls on March 25th. The next Ugadi is Plava Nama Samvatsaram.
As per Telugu calendar traditions, each Yuga has a cycle of 60 years. These year names change on the day of the Ugadi festival. Each year of the Telugu calendar has a specific name in the Panchangam (traditional Hindu calendar in Telugu). The Telugu calendar has 60 names corresponding to each year. Every 60 years a yuga gets completed and the names repeat in the next Yuga (next cycle). For example, the Telugu name for 1954 is "Jaya" which again got repeated after 60 years in 2014. This year's Sarvari will dawn on us again in 2080.
Ugadi is the Telugu new year festival that comes in the spring season (usually March or April). On this day many trees especially Neem trees bear fresh flowers and leaves. The Ugadi festival is widely celebrated by Telugu people. On this day other neighboring states like Maharastra and Karnataka also celebrate new year.
The calendar that is used in the western world was instituted by Pope Gregory XIII in the year 1582 AD.
Coming to this new year, astrology tells us that Shani transits in Makara Rasi as his own sign. Rahu and Ketu transit in Mithuna and Dhanur Rasis till 28/09/20 and thereafter Vrishabha and Vrischika Rasis respectively. Guru is neecha in Makara from 31/08/2020 to 29/06/2020.and also from 21.11.2020 to 06/04/2021. Briefly he transits and lunation charts to arrive in the forecast, experts say.
The highlight of Sarvari Nama Samvat is the religious fervour (remember Night Queen has a strong scent). This is expected to lend strong feelings to us. We argue over everything a thousand times over and a section keeps questioning the established beliefs and notions strongly leading to a serious clash of ideas.
Politically Sharvati Nama Samvat is not so ideal to the Opposition of the present-day government. The more and more it keeps shouting, the more it loses the ground further.
With Guru in his own sign, though the 7th lord is placed in the 6th, and exalted Kuja being Karaka, malefic Shani (in vipareeta raja yoga) is helpful to the Government over the Opposition.
This year will see four eclipses will occur while two will take place on 5/6.06.2020 and 14/12/2020 occur in Jyestha Nakshatra, vrischka rasi. Solar eclipse on 21/06/2020 happens in Mrigasira, Mithuna rasi while lunar eclipse on 4/5/07/2020 takes place in moola nakshatra, dhanur rasi. Remedial measures are necessary for those born in mesha, vrishabha, mithuna, tula, vrfischika, and dhanur rasis. as the eclipse occurs over their rasis or in the 8th.
Sarvari lends general happiness to all, but some people suffer because of their political preferences. Markets tend to be good, property prices quite affordable but automobile industry, it seems, suffers.
Agriculture will be Ok, almost on the present lines. Of course the biggest worry will be the health for all.
That is Sharvarri for you.
