A role model for women of present generation

International Karate sports-woman and three-time world champion Eravalli Anjana initially took up Karate for her self-defense and with the encouragement of her parents eventually took the sport sternly and made it as her career 

Recognising her services to the field of sports and representing India in Commonwealth Games which were held at Durban of South Africa in 2018, the Government of Telangana allotted a job in the 'Sports Authority' to the International Karate sports woman and a three time world champion, Eravalli Anjana of 'Continental Shotokan Karate Dho India' (CSKI) academy.

Fascinated with Karate, E Anjana took it up initially for self-defense and with the encouragement of her parents Bhim Rao and Rani joined CSKI academy when she was studying 5th class in 2006 and started training at the age of seven. She eventually took Karate seriously and made it as her career.

In her 15 years Karate career, Anjana has won as many as 272 awards which included 27 International Level Awards, 32 National and 213 State Level Awards along with 20 times Grand Slam Championships in the various international tournaments that were held in India.

Anjana has also received the prestigious Bruce Lee award recently on November 27. The awards are presented every year to the Karate masters and sports persons who show their excellent skills in the Karate by the 'Indian Shotokan Sports Karate Dho Organization' (ISSKO).

Not only in Karate, Anjana is also good at studies. She gave equal importance to her education and completed her Masters in Technical field (M.Tech) and stood as a moral for many.

For her achievements, Anjana received appreciation from a noted section of people. Recognizing her talent, TRS party working president, K T Rama Rao, took the matter to the notice of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao who in turn issued orders to the Sports Minister, Srinivas Goud to recruit her in the State Sports Authority as a Data Entry Processing Officer.

E Srinivas, the coach of Anjana said that she started Karate initially for self defence at the age of Six and later chose the sport as her career and for the past 15 years Anjana was training Karate in CSKI academy. Her dedication and commitment towards the sport not only brought name and fame to the country but number of awards at various levels.

By recognising her talent, the Telangana Government gave her a post in the sport department. She thanked CM KCR and TRS party working president K T Rama Rao and Sports Minister Srinivas Goud for giving equal opportunities to women in the state and requested the ministers to upgrade the Karate sport to A-grade from C.

Anjana admits that Karate has changed her life. She says, "I got recognition and identity with Karate. It liberated me and made me more confident. I will try and spot potential talent in the state and train them for National championships."

Anjana said that it is heartening to be in such a position as the first women and expressed thanks to her coach E Srinivas, the Indian Chief Coach of CSKI academy, who has given her training in Karate for the past 15 years and her parents Rani and Bhim Rao who played a key role in achievement her dream come true. She also thanked the Telangana Government for giving her a job as Data entry processing officer.
