Career boost for women
Women turn up in large numbers at Women Changemakers Career Fair held in hyderabad by equiv.in The ninth edition of Women Changemakers Career Fair and Confluence made waves at The Avasa Hotel, Hyderabad.
The event, an initiative of Equiv.in was an opportunity for women to identify better job opportunities and understand diversity initiatives of well-known organisations. The participants of the fair had opportunities to network and interact with women corporate leaders as well.
This edition of Women Changemakers also saw the launch of 'Frontiers', first-of-its-kind networking initiative that will bring together corporates, senior citizens and armed force veterans to collaboratively to provide suitable job opportunities for the members of this community.
Other diversity verticals of Equiv.in include 'Q-rious' for the LQBTQIA community and 'Enablers', an initiative to bring back the physically disabled into the workforce.
At the venue, about 600 women with work experience ranging from freshers to more than 15 years' experience, and about 206 re-starters listened to the focused discussions and used networking opportunities.
The high-level speaker line up and influencers at the fair including Bollywood actor and motivational speaker Ashish Vidyarthi was also a huge attraction for most participants who were looking to learn, grow and take wing in their chosen professions.
Naren Krishna, the CEO of Equiv.in and Stockroom.io observing the participation, said, "This is the first edition of the career fair in the city of Hyderabad and we are thrilled seeing the response we have received.
We had received over 800 applications from the city and we are glad 600 of them have turned up today. I am sure it was an equally exciting opportunity for them to hear from such influential speakers and interact with leading corporate companies present.
Our next event will be organised in Chennai in the coming month" he added. The companies participating in the event included Paysafe, Indeed, Invesco, Well Fargo, Gainsight, Societe Generale & Cyient.
