In a recent eye-catching FB Live conversation with celebrated actor Kunal Kapoor, Bhanumathi Narasimhan, the director of Women Empowerment and Child Care Programs for The Art of Living Foundation, re-lived and re-told stories from the Indian Puranas revealing its deeper hidden secrets though her latest book titled 'Parashakti: Magical Stories of the Divine Mother'.

Kunal Kapoor commenced his conversation by asking about the inspiration behind this book.

Starting from her passion for writing and the urge of re-telling stories, one witnessed Bhanumathi emerge in an interesting and enlightening dialogue with Kunal Kapoor.

Bhanumathi, in her entire discussion, wanted the audience to understand the importance of our scriptures and take interest in decoding the universal timeless wisdom that they contain.

The live chat was watched by people in 74 countries across 31,000 locations wherein they shared their views as well.

During her tête-à-tête with Kunal, she articulated the importance of symbolism: The trishul symbolising transcendence if the three states - waking dream and deep sleep, the damaru, the peacock, conch, japa mala, bell, veena - so many objects that we often see in the hands of the gods.

One of the most fascinating mentions in the book, which took Kunal Kapoor by surprise, were the four levels of communication - Language, Feeling, cognitive knowledge or communication and lastly, something beyond words which is felt through vibration.

Taking the entire conversation a notch higher, Kunal, with intense passion and excitement, showed his interest to know more about the stories highlighted in the book.

Engaging and enthralling the audience further, Bhanumathi and Kunal talk about spirituality and progress in life.

Emphasising this aspect of the book, their exchange of words leads to the pair conversing about the different qualities that each of the magical and divine powers posses and how keeping a concentrated focus on each of these qualities helps an individual towards accomplishing their goals in life.

One of the interesting factors reflected in the book 'Parashakti' is Dispassion. Bhanumati beautifully crafts her messages and communicates how each little thing is interconnected.

Parashakti, as the name describes, is the beauty of 'Devi' - the supreme strength which can only be felt and revered by experiencing her presence instead of thinking of it as a physical being.
