Pink Legal for women's rights & laws

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Advocate Manasi Chaudhari, Hyderabad based lawyer, Founder & CEO of Pink Legal, launched the first ever initiative and website in India dedicated to women's rights and women's laws.

The website is called Pink Legal, which signifies women and the law.

The launch was attended by Mahesh Bhagwat, CP of Rachakonda as chief guest, Rukmini Rao, a social and rural development activist, Sunita Bhagwat, IFS, Commissioner Tourism along with D Suresh Babu, film producer and Ratna Rao Shekhar, editor of wow magazine as guests of honour, senior members of the legal fraternity, along with around 75 women from different age-groups, who were keen to learn about their legal rights.

Advocate Manasi Chaudhari, who has also assisted Justice DY Chandrachud in the Supreme Court on the landmark Section 377 case, introduced the website to all the guests present, while explaining to them how to use the website to easily understand their legal rights.

Speaking at the launch, Manasi said that, "I have always been passionate about gender equality. Pink Legal is my way of contributing towards gender equality by empowering women with the knowledge of their rights."
