Priyanka Chopra Jonas steals the thunder

Priyanka Chopra loves to make a statement wherever she goes, and her looks for the Met Gala 2017, 2018 and 2019 were no different

Undoubtedly one of the biggest nights in fashion, the MET Gala is one of the most watched platforms in the world, where the biggest movie stars, musicians, sports personalities and social media sensations run wild with their Avant garde outfits.

Always walking the extra mile, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, made the waiting worthwhile as she took the 2019 MET Gala by storm.

Dressed in an avant garde Dior gown, jewels by Chopard and a dramatic crown. She was styled by Mimi Cuttrell. Priyanka's interpretation of "Camp: Notes on Fashion" met with massive applause, wowing the biggest fashion critics and aficionados alike.

Priyanka's dramatic Dior look this year at the MET Gala was the perfect amalgamation of drama, individuality and playfulness, synonymous with everything the power icon stands for.

After making headlines in her daring 10-foot-long trench coat in 2017, Priyanka took the internet by storm and was one of the most talked about fashion icons at the gala event. She then made a "heavenly" appearance last year at the 71st Annual Costume Institute Gala aka MET whose theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination in a custom-made Ralph Lauren outfit with headgear hand beaded in India, her home country.

Her look for the Met Gala 2018 was no different. After last year's trailing Ralph Lauren trench coat, Chopra stepped out in another stunning look by the American label. The star was dressed up in a maroon and gold gown that at once brings baroque flourishes and vestments to mind. The liturgical colour scheme employed was no doubt chosen basis the Met Gala 2018 theme—Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. And while Priyanka Chopra's dress may have been missing a train that is the length of the red carpet, the ornate hood more than made up for it.
